Dancing With the Stars: TV Guide Photo Shoot
This is a totally fun video clip for fans of Dancing With the Stars! In it, the final four couples this season talk about being on the show while they do a photo shoot for TV Guide Magazine. We get to see them posing, being made up for the cameras and casually talking in between it all.
Be sure to stay with it all the way to the end, because Ty Murray clowns it up and has Chelsea Hightower giggling. It’s very cute!

Dancing With the Stars 8: Ty Rides Into the Sunset

He made a valient effort. He impressed us all with his tenacity and his hard work. And he won us all over with his easy going personality. His fans saved him from elimination last week, in spite of how fantastic Lil Kim danced. But finally, Ty Murray’s time on the dance floor came to an end. He was this week’s eliminated star on Dancing With the Stars.
Not only that, but So You Think You Can Dance alum Chelsea Hightower did an amazing job working with Ty this season. She’s just completed her first season as a pro dancer on DWTS, but I know she’ll be back. She’s terrific.
This week, we saw several amazing performances that got perfect scores, including two perfect routines by Gilles Marini & Cheryl Burke. The competition is just to fierce at this point in the competition for Ty to stay in it. He’s been a wonderful dancer to watch this season, and managed to be one of the only dancers to avoid injury. (Of course, compared to riding a bull, dancing is a piece of cake!)
Now we’re down to the final three couples on the show and next week is the finals. I’m guessing that Gilles will win, but wouldn’t be surprised to see either of the two women (Melissa Rycroft or Shawn Johnson) pulls out the win either. All three are spectacular. Anything can happen at this point.
Who do you expect to take home the mirror-ball trophy this season?

Dancing With the Stars: Dance Center
I can’t help myself. The most hilarious and fun part of every season of Dancing With the Stars for me is the occasional Dance Center segment. The first person to be voted off of the second season of Dancing With the Stars, Kenny Mayne who is an ESPN sports anchorman in real life, anchors the fake commentary about the season’s competition.
He is so funny. He always wears an amazing amount of very feminine makeup and acts so serious about the whole thing. But almost everything he says comes out sounding clueless. And to make it even funnier, his sidekicks include judge Len Goodman, whom he cuts off in the middle of is sentences nearly every time he tries to talk. And the other sidekick is season 2 great dancer Jerry Rice, wearing crazy makeup and outfit too. The three of them act so seriously when they give their silly, fun commentary, I love it. This week we saw two segments of Dance Center. The first segment is about 3 minutes into this clip.
And the second segment is about a minute into this clip:

Ty Murray Chelsea Hightower Talk About Last Week’s Performance
After last week’s live results Dancing With the Stars show, Ty Murray & dance partner Chelsea Hightower stopped to talk a bit about their performance last week and about how they feel about Lawrence Taylor’s elimination. They tell us that they’ll be doing a salsa this week…even though Ty says that the only thing he knows about it is that he eats it with chips…

Dancing With the Stars 8: Steve-O Heads Home

The number of dancers with injuries this season on Dancing With the Stars is at an all-time high. And Steve-O, in spite of his previous career being filled with him trying to injure himself in strange and exotic ways, has been no exception. He hurt his back and was unable to even perform live one week. Yet his many fans kept him in the competition in spite of it all.
But, we all knew it was time for his run on the show to come to an end. It just had to happen.
I am personally very happy to see that he made it through rehab and has managed to stay sober for months now. I hope he continues to stay sober and to take care of himself. He’s spent many self-destructive years so far and it was time to grow up. Good for him!
I do have to admit that I have been completely surprised by how well he actually did do on the show. When he was announced as one of the dancers, I was expecting him to maybe last a week. He evidently has a very large fan base and he really did put his heart into his dance performances, even if they didn’t make it to professional level.
I wish him well in his future and can say that I’m glad that he was on this season of the show. Even though he’s no dancer, he does seem to be getting his life on the right track and that deserves our respect.
So long, Steve-O. It was great having you on this season of DWTS.
So who do you think will be the next to go home? Who do you think is going to win this season? Let us know!

Dancing With the Stars 8: Tonight’s Performance Show

Tonight marked the halfway point in this season of Dancing With the Stars. It’s becoming very clear who will probably make it to the final three and who will not. After tonight’s performances, I think it’s a slam dunk that Gilles Marini & Cheryl Burke, as well as Lil Kim & Derek Hough will be in the final three. My big indecision is between Melissa Rycroft & Tony Dovolani and Shawn Johnson & Mark Ballas. Those two teams are both very close in their skills and it will be interesting to see who does better as the season progresses.
As for this week, sadly, I think the bottom two will follow the judges’ scores. It seems clear to me that the two who deserve this week’s dance-off are Steve-O & Lacey Schwimmer and Ty Murray & Chelsea Hightower. I just don’t think they will be here much longer. Overall, it’s a good season with lots of interesting dancers. Here are my comments on tonight’s performances:

Judges’ Scores

| Style | Review | Inaba | Goodman | Tonioli | Total |
| Jive | Ty Murray & Chelsie Hightower – Started off very tense, but loosened up about midway. He did lose the steps once, but he was a lot looser than last week. I think he might be in the bottom two this week. |

| Jive | Lawrence Taylor & Edyta Slawinska – This week’s dance was a huge improvement over last week’s. Lawrence actually moved his hips and was lighter on his feet. It looked like he had a great time doing it too. |

Who did you like the best tonight? Who do you think will go home?
Jewel Using a Dressed-Up Crutch
Jewel hasn’t been letting her injury stop her from doing the things she wants to do…except for dancing, of course. Sadly, she had to drop out of the Dancing With the Stars competition before it even began, due to serious injuries to the tendons around her knees. (Sounds very painful!) But she’s been right there to support her husband Ty Murray as he has been dancing for the show.
Here’s a photo that was taken of her with only one crutch when she attended the Latisse Clothing Boutique launch party in Los Angeles recently. I love how she eve dressed up her crutch with a black sleeve-type of thing. Very cool!

Dancing With the Stars 8: Insider Reports on the Dancers

The Insider takes a look at some of this season’s Dancing With the Stars dancers and how they are doing while preparing for tonight’s show. First of all, they show Julianne Hough accepting her award at last night’s Academy of Country Music Awards show in Las Vegas. She tore her dress in her excitement to get to the stage and accept the award.
Then, they take a look at Shawn Johnson and Mark Ballas while they practice some of their dance moves. Shawn says that Mark is her nicest coach ever. Then, Jewel sits in on one of the practice sessions for her hubby, Ty Murray and his pro dance partner Chesea Hightower. See what they have to say about the rigors of the practice sessions.

Jewel Gives Her Opinions About Dancing With the Stars
Jewel may have been injured before she got to perform on Dancing With the Stars, but she has many things to say about the show and her husband Ty Murray’s performance so far. She says that Ty and his partner Chelsea Hightower have been doing pretty well and that she thinks the judges’ comments are fair. After all, they know more about dance than she or Ty do. She says that the judging is nothing new for Ty since he’s been competing in judged sports all his life.
She ges on to discuss with Rosanna Tavarez & Adriana Costa of Reality Chat many of the other dancers and who they think is due to go home. Jewel also gives us some info about her brand new CD. Check it out:
