Thor hall of the Kingdom of Asgard Photo

Thor is an upcoming action adventure fantasy flick coming from the director of classics like Hamlet (1996) Swan Song (1992) Henry V (1989) etc Kenneth Branagh. It stars in a lead role Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman and Anthony Hopkins in supporting roles and is hoped to hit the theatres within the USA on 6th May 2011 in 3D.

Firstly talk about the latest photo of Thor which shows the magnificent hall of the Kingdom of Asgard and portrays Chris Hemsworth as Thor kneeling down in front of the King, to show his respect. The photo gives one the feel of an ancient, yet royal atmosphere where the Kings word is the final word. Thor based on a comic book of the same name appearing in Marvel Comics and is basically about a warrior from the Kingdom of Asgard who makes use of his utmost abilities when put in the ideal situation to prove himself.

The plot follows Thor who is a powerful yet arrogant warrior who makes one silly mistake and hence triggers an ancient war within the Kingdom of Asgard which is considered to be an unforgivable mistake. And what Thor gets as punishment for his act is banishment from Asgard to Earth by his father Odin (Anthony Hopkins) and so is forced to mingle with humans and live with them for as long as required.

However the best things happen to him on Earth. Firstly when he meets this beautiful, young scientist by the name of Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) he immediately falls for her and the feelings soon become mutual. She becomes Thor’s first love. And with time passing by Earth faces one of the most severe attacks of all time when the most dangerous villain from Asgard send the darkest forces to invade Earth.

And secondly, Thor gets the ideal opportunity to fight the dark forces and prove himself as a true hero and not anybody who stands by and watches while destruction occurs.  Thor coming from a classy act like Kenneth Branagh should say this movie is going to do wonders and presume it to be a high budget movie too
