Brick and The Brothers Bloom director Rian Johnson’s ambitious sci-fi time traveling thriller Looper will be underway in 201l which will star Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Bruce Willis. Looper will focus on a group of killers called Loopers who work for a crime oriented organization set in the future and their purpose of existence is to remove any evidences of murder as law enforcement can’t track the bodies once they disappear from the future.
And how do they do this? The list of targets are sent to the Loopers back in time and all the Loopers have to do is shoot them in the head so that they would vanish in the future and dispose off the corpse that do not really exist. Looper takes in to account an entirely different concept on the whole and to the fans it becomes a compelling and a smart science fiction thriller that is a must watch.
We also have a tremendous lead cast who are going to lead the flick in an understandable and enjoyable way to the audience. Famously known for his role in Die Hard (1988) Bruce Willis also won a Golden Globe nominee for Best Supporting Actor (In County (1989) out of the many other awards. Currently he is awaiting the release of the upcoming Robert Schwentke’s Red which is due to hit theatres in October.
And as per Joseph Gordon-Levitt he seems to be enjoying the success of Christopher Nolan’s Inception and may be in the future Looper too.
Direct from YouTube’s Summit Screening Room comes this 2-minute clip from “The Brothers Bloom,” the offbeat comedy about two globe-trotting con men, starring Adrien Brody, Mark Ruffalo and Rachel Weisz. The film opens in New York and Los Angeles on May 15, and nationwide on May 29. It really doesn’t matter what the story is for me – if Ruffalo and Brody are in it, I’ll check it out.
And if you happen to be in New York City tomorrow (May 12) at 7 p.m., stop by the Apple Store at 103 Prince Street for a Q&A with director Rian Johnson.
“The Brothers Bloom” looks awesome. It stars Rachel Weisz, Adrien Brody and Mark Ruffalo, and follows the last great adventure of the world’s two best con men. Their task: show a beautiful, eccentric heiress the time of her life on a globe-trotting journey.
All of these stars tend to pick interesting, offbeat movies, and I wonder if this will be one of those “who’s conning whom” movies I love so well. It’s written and directed by Rian Johnson, who also helmed 2005’s “Brick” and the upcoming “Looper,” scheduled for a 2010 release.

“The Brothers Bloom” hits theaters in limited release on May 15, 2009, and wide release on May 29, 2009.
