Green Lantern is an upcoming superhero film by Warner Bros. based on the comic book, Green Lantern appearing in DC Comics. The movie will star Ryan Reynolds (“X-Men Origins: Wolverine”), Peter Sarsgaard (“An Education,” “Flightplan”), Blake Lively (upcoming “The Town,” TV’s “Gossip Girl”) and Mark Strong (“Sherlock Holmes”) etc under the direction of Martin Campbell (“Casino Royale”).

The script by was done by Greg Berlanti and comic book writers Michael Green and Marc Guggenheim, which was subsequently rewritten by Michael Goldenberg. Green Lantern is scheduled to be released in 3D and 2D on June 17th 2011 and be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.In a vast universe, a small but powerful force called the Green Lantern Corps (brotherhood of warriors) act as protectors of peace and justice between galaxies.
