Aaron Green (Jonah Hill) is a 23-year-old ambitious college graduate working as an intern at a record company is given a career-making assignment. His mission was to escort an English musician, Aldous Snow (Russell Brand) from London to a concert at a Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre, as the first stop for a $100 tour.
Aldous Snow is a brilliant musician, but with his share of problems. He underwent a bad break up, had a fall in his music career and now is a drunken disaster. Searching for the meaning of life, he figures that this concert could be the comeback. Meanwhile Aldous gets to know that his true love, model/pop star Jackie Q (Rose Byrne), is in Los Angeles. And now his priority is to win her back.
As the countdown to the concert begins, Aaron thinks it could be a threat to his assignment and hence he is forced to deal with London drug smuggles, New York City scandals and Las Vegas lap dancers to get him to the Greek.
