Eva Longoria Parker told the New York Daily News that she’d love to play famous Mexican actress Maria Felix in a biopic about her life. Felix died in 2002.
What do you guys think? Could she pull it off?

The Cannes Film Festival – a.k.a. Festival de Cannes – is in full swing right now, from May 13 – 24, 2009. I’ve chosen a few images from the festival, including lovely Abbie Cornish, right, attending the “Bright Star” screening.
The main news to come out of the festival is that while there are many top-tier projects available to U.S. distributors, no one is buying. A sign of the bleak economy? Whatever the reason, it looks like some very big movies may be left without a U.S. distributor, which could mean smaller distributors will swoop in and pick them up.
Some of the projects sparking interest include Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu’s “Biutiful,” starring Javier Bardem in a story about a drug dealer and a policeman; “Unbound Captives,” a period drama with Robert Pattinson and Rachel Weisz; and Stephen Gaghan’s “Blink,” starring Al Pacino as a father who reconnects with his estranged son.
More glam pics after the jump…

May 15, 2009: Eva Longoria Parker and Tony Parker attending the “Bright Star” screening during the 62nd International Cannes Film Festival, in Cannes, France. They always look so mismatched because he’s so tall and she’s so tiny. But they always look happy, so that’s the main thing.

May 13, 2009: Elizabeth Banks and Aishwarya Rai attending the “Up” screening at the Opening night of The 62nd Cannes Film Festival in Cannes, France. They’re so coordinated; makes you wonder if they chose their outfits to complement each other.

May 13, 2009: Robin Wright Penn attending the Jury photocall at The 62nd Cannes Film Festival in Cannes, France. She always looks so sad. I wonder if it’s because she’s married to Sean Penn … come on, you know you’re thinking it, too.

Eva told OK! Magazine that she wants to move to France when her husband’s basketball career is over. Tony Parker, of course, plays for the San Antonio Spurs and no one’s expecting him to retire for at least five years.
So here’s the question I’M curious about: Why is she waiting for his career to end? What about hers? Sure, DH will (in theory) end its run before Tony starts thinking about retiring, but why does it have to be all about him?
This raises another question: Who’s more successful? Eva or Tony?
But EVEN MORE IMPORTANTLY: WWGD? (what would Gaby do?)
Mario Lopez told starpulse.com that he’s got some intentions to create a cartoon show based off his upcoming children’s book, and he wants an “all-star Latino cast.” That, of course, means his bestie Eva Longoria Parker will be involved. He’s also talked to Gloria Estefan and George Lopez for it, too!
What do you think? Are you a big enough fan of DH to watch a cartoon show about the bond between a brother and sister?
All I know is this: Eva’s got a great voice, and I think as long as she’s not saying desperate-sorta things, she’d be a great voice actor.

Eva Longoria Parker is partnering with Texas-based grocery store H-E-B to encourage shoppers to buy a limited-edition reusable shopping bags for $1.94 at stores, according to the Houston Chronicle. Eva grew up in Corpus Christi, so she’s helping things go green close to home.
“The environment is very important to me, and through various initiatives of my own and with partners like H-E-B, I work to educate people about what they can do to save the planet by using less energy, recycling and implementing ‘green’ business and personal practices,” she said in a statement.

Victoria Beckham and her posh shoulders (shown in this photo shopping in Milan on Tuesday) are too busy to guest star on “Desperate Housewives,” friend Eva Longoria Parker told monstersandcritics.com.
“She is a bright girl and so funny,” Eva said. “We would love her on the show and the show’s creator, Marc Cherry, thinks she is super. But Victoria is way too busy with her fashion empire, which is a shame.”
Still, I don’t know what I think about her having a cameo. But if she’s got a good role in the show, it’d be better than a pretend-lesbian kiss, that’s for sure. Who do you think she’d be? I feel like Posh could only play Bob and Lee’s interior decorator, or some competitor for Bree’s homemaker business.
Or, maybe she could move in next door as a hasbeen pop star from a popular ’90s girl group, who has to dial down her life now that she’s no longer making as much money.
In this photo of Eva Longoria Parker arriving at the Rally for Kids with Cancer Scavenger Cup in Los Angeles on Tuesday, we can see why the Little Black Dress really needs to be renamed.
So, ladies and gentlemen, I present to you “The Eva”.
That is all.

Eva Longoria Parker takes her digital camera and shoots photos of the paparazzi as she leaves LAX on Saturday. I find everything about this photo adorable. Here she is, trying to fly like a normal person, and people are following her around with cameras. But instead of going all Sean Penn on them, she lightheartedly shows ‘em how it feels.

As mentioned before, Eva was named the sexiest woman on TV. (As if we didn’t already know that, right?)
Here, she and the sexiest man on TV (Simon Baker from “The Mentalist”) celebrate their sexiness together, at a party held for TV Guide’s Sexiest Stars at the Sunset Tower Hotel in West Hollywood on Tuesday.
Two of the professional dancers from Dancing With the Stars have been named among the Sexiest Stars on TV this year by TV Guide. You probably already know who they are, it’s engaged couple Karina Smirnoff and Maksim Chmerkovskiy. Not only that, but hunky celeb dancer from season 6, Christián de la Fuente was also named to the list. I couldn’t agree more with their choices!
Here’s a great little clip for us all to drool over. It’s a behind the scenes look at the TV Guide photo shoots and some words from the Sexiest Stars on TV, including our three dancers. They are among very good company too. My own personal TV crush, Simon Baker is on the list along with a ton of other male and female hotties. So, sit back, relax and hit the play button. Enjoy!
