Three new images of “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” have been released exclusively to EW.com. The pics show:
- Newly 18-year-old Bella after being thrown against a table by her love, Edward.
- The mysterious vampire Laurent (Edi Gathegi) telling Bella not to be fearful of death. “’He was bad in ‘Twilight,’ but still had some compassion,” he says. “Let’s just say he’s not conflicted anymore.”
- Bella and Edward about to kiss. “Rob was the first guy to say to me, ‘You know, you don’t really need to have too much of me in this film,’” notes director Chris Weitz. “I don’t want him too present, so his apparition will be a subtle, flitting effect — clearly a reflection of Bella’s will and desire to see him.”

Here’s a first look at the new teaser poster from “New Moon” (known officially as “The Twilight Saga: New Moon.”) Cool to finally see an image from the movie I’ve been blogging about for months! I love the dark, hazy background and, of course, Bella and Jacob, with Edward sort of on the outside looking in.
This second installment of the series, based on Stephenie Meyer’s popular books, finds Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) completely devastated by the abrupt departure of her vampire love, Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson).
To fill the void, she turns to Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner), who draws her into his world of werewolves. Bella finds her loyalties tested, as werewolves are long-standing enemies of the vampires.
“The Twilight Saga: New Moon” hits theaters Nov. 20, 2009. Like the poster? Tell me your thoughts in the comments below.
I just posted some breaking “Breaking Dawn” news from Rob Pattinson, stopping over in Cannes on his way to Italy to finish filming “New Moon.”
For your viewing pleasure, here’s another picture of the star whose vampire alter-ego Edward Cullen, drives girls wild.
Robert Pattinson stopped by Cannes and revealed some big news for “Twilight” fans. “Breaking Dawn,” the fourth movie in the vampire series based on the Stephenie Meyer books, is in a go mode!
There’s been some speculation as to whether it would be made. “New Moon,” the second movie, and “Eclipse,” the third movie, are already in progress. Pattinson was heading to Italy to shoot the final four days on “New Moon,” and he’ll return to Vancouver in October to finish up “Eclipse.”
He told The Hollywood Reporter that he’s on board for “Breaking Dawn,” but didn’t know when production would begin. [SPOILER ALERT!] The fourth movie centers on Bella and Edward’s marriage and her pregnancy.
More after the jump, including a video of Rob Pattinson…
Somewhere in his jam-packed schedule, the 23-year-old Pattinson will star in “Remember Me,” another Summit movie. The Allen Coulter-directed drama centers on two lovers trying to cope with family tragedies.
Well, Pattinson certainly isn’t hurting for work, and I’m excited to hear that the fourth “Twilight” movie is in a go mode. I can’t imagine ending things after “Eclipse” and not wrapping up the story.

The first official photo of the “New Moon” wolf pack has been released by Summit Entertainment. The movie opens Nov. 20, 2009, and continues the “Twilight” saga with more romance, more vampires, and more Edward and Bella.
Pictured below are Alex Meraz as Paul, Chaske Spencer as Sam Uley, Bronson Pelletier as Jared, and Kiowa Gordon as Embry Call. Yep, it’s the Quileute Wolf Pack, and they look just fine to me. Your thoughts?
