2-Minute Clip from The Brothers Bloom, starring Mark Ruffalo and Adrien Brody
Direct from YouTube’s Summit Screening Room comes this 2-minute clip from “The Brothers Bloom,” the offbeat comedy about two globe-trotting con men, starring Adrien Brody, Mark Ruffalo and Rachel Weisz. The film opens in New York and Los Angeles on May 15, and nationwide on May 29. It really doesn’t matter what the story is for me – if Ruffalo and Brody are in it, I’ll check it out.
And if you happen to be in New York City tomorrow (May 12) at 7 p.m., stop by the Apple Store at 103 Prince Street for a Q&A with director Rian Johnson.
Mark Ruffalo and Adrien Brody in The Brothers Bloom – Preview Trailer
“The Brothers Bloom” looks awesome. It stars Rachel Weisz, Adrien Brody and Mark Ruffalo, and follows the last great adventure of the world’s two best con men. Their task: show a beautiful, eccentric heiress the time of her life on a globe-trotting journey.
All of these stars tend to pick interesting, offbeat movies, and I wonder if this will be one of those “who’s conning whom” movies I love so well. It’s written and directed by Rian Johnson, who also helmed 2005’s “Brick” and the upcoming “Looper,” scheduled for a 2010 release.

“The Brothers Bloom” hits theaters in limited release on May 15, 2009, and wide release on May 29, 2009.
