“Land of the Lost” didn’t look that funny to me when I first heard about it. But after seeing a few clips and reading more, it’s growing on me, and now I’m looking forward to it.
It stars Will Ferrell as a washed-up scientist who goes back to the stone age via time machine, along with his research assistant (Anna Friel) and a survivalist (Danny McBride). Of course they get chased by T-Rex’s and other fantastic creatures.
It’s directed by Brad Silberling and rated PG-13 for crude and sexual content, and for language including a drug reference. Arrives in theaters June 5, 2009. Read my interview with Michael Papajohn, who plays an astronaut in the movie.
Thanks to MTV for the clips below. Are you looking forward to this movie?

Movie stars Ashton Kutcher and Katherine Heigl shared a romantic kiss recently on their set of their new movie “Five Killers.” Directed by Robert Luketic, the story follows a woman who meets her “perfect” man while on vacation. The two get married but quickly realize that their neighbors back home might be assassins hired to kill the happy couple. Tom Selleck, Martin Mull, and Catherine O’Hara also star in the movie, set for a June 4, 2010 release.
Oh, and don’t worry. Accompanying Heigl and Kutcher to the French Riviera set were their spouses, so I’m sure there were no offset shenanigans taking place. And if I was a body language expert, I’d say she’s way more into this kiss than he is.
A new domestic trailer for “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra” has been posted on MySpace. I’m not as excited about this movie as I am “Terminator Salvation,” but it looks action-packed and fun. And Channing Tatum isn’t hard to look at.
The story follows an elite military unit made up of special ops known as G.I. Joe, which end up battling a notorious arms dealer. Directed by Stephen Sommers, it also stars Dwayne Johnson, Brendan Fraser (uncredited), Dennis Quaid, and Sienna Miller, and hits theaters Aug. 7, 2009. Check out the teaser trailer which aired during the Super Bowl
The one I’m probably most psyched about is “Iron Man 2,”, and the least? Eh, “GI Joe: Rise of Cobra” doesn’t really do much for me, but that might change. How about you?
