Vanessa Hudgens and Alyson Michalka Star in Bandslam
Zac Efron may be moving beyond Disney-type movies, but it seems like his girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens is sticking with the tried-and-true formula.
Hudgens (“High School Musical”) and Alyson Michalka (“Phil of the Future,” “Aly and AJ”) are starring in “Bandslam,” due in theaters Aug. 14, 2009. Michalka plays a gifted singer-songwriter who recruits a new kid in town (Gaelan Connell, “Chocolat”) to manage her rock band. Her main motivation? Go up against her egotistical ex-boyfriend (Scott Porter, “Friday Night Lights”) and his band at a battle of the bands competition. Meanwhile, Sam (Hudgens) and Will find romance.
My first instinct is this sounds a lot like “High School Musical” kicked up to a PG rating (for some thematic elements and mild language). But it’s produced by Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas and distributed by Summit Entertainment (“Twilight”), so it might surprise me. It will definitely appeal to fans of Hudgens and Michalka. Youth was always in touch with the music and ready to rock. Hire in the movie Bandslam (2009) it was the musical experience of a brand new bands and it was a story of a girl who seek to archive the goal of her life as a good singer. In the movie she was the gifted one for singing and she had a boy friend early that does play egotistical music. It was the faith makes them both apart and the girl Charlotte Banksasks is desperate to get pass with the biggest event in the year. A competition of bands rocks the schools. Many new artists are making their way through this event and they have to get ready for it. It was a musical movie but comes more into the revenge of the girl from her ex-boy friend.
She has to regroup the band and few of her high school friends helping her for it. Will Burton is the guy with different attitudes and he makes every one dream of their goal. With hall new songs and some of the modern rocks he makes the band more attractive than ever and ready for the band challenge. Voice of Charlotte helping their course and it was the fortunate out come of new tracks helping them to be more successive with the band. Lot of teen stories and love affairs made up the story more effective.
From their dram to goal all of the members in the band lived with it. Until they realized the winning sprit is with them. With so many difficulties and matters they climb up in the music to show the world how rocky they are. The movie Bandslam (2009) was directed by Todd Graff and he was too good with the directing. Camp (2003) is one of the best movies he made. Ryan Donowho, Tim Jo, Farah White, Blair Bomar and Vanessa Hudgens are featuring in the movie and it was releasing on August 14th, 2009. Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, Marisa Yeres, Jared Mass produced the movie. It was a comedy movie rock with the music.
