Smash His Camera Movie Poster
Have a look at the new Smash his Camera poster which is among the young and old fans of movies. It portrays the paparazzi Ron Galella’s “Mona Lisa” courtesy of HBO with it crossed in red clearly implying “unwanted” to reflect the title.
Being a paparazzi photographer is hell of a lot of hard work. To be able to click pictures of the rich and the famous one has to be ready for the unexpected as many celebrities prefer having privacy and alone time and if they are evoked it is bad news for the paparazzi photographer. And hence it is not only about the timing of shots and the quality of it the courage and the guts required to do it should be far beyond.
Directed by Academy Award winning filmmaker Leon Gast, Smash His Camera is about the life and career of paparazzi photographer Ron Galella.
The documentary initiates from the roots of how Ron Galella developed a passion and love for photography which started off with his mother’s love for movies and entertainment that pushed him into taking pictures of celebrities that turned out to be never ending. Smash His Camera also focuses on Galella’s rise as a paparazzo that started as a U.S. Air Force photographer before getting into the lives of the celebrities.
Well his climb hasn’t been easy it is reported that he was even was sued by Jackie O and slugged by Marlon Brando. Smash His Camera won the Best Director of a documentary at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival and to see it for yourselves you are required to hold your horses till a date in 2010 is announced.
