Looks like Disney is quite busily changing the release dates for a few of its upcoming movies and It presume the fans are yet ready to take up another postponement of Beauty and the Beast but unfortunately we have to. Beauty and the Beast 3-D was initially set for a 2010 Valentine’s Day but it did get postponed to somewhere in 2011 and many were assuming it to be 14th February 2011 and now the existing and new fans of this animated flick, the release date has been further postponed to don’t know when and the reason being the lack of enthusiasm surrounding 3D TVs. However the studio is said to be planning on reissuing a special edition Beauty and the Beast DVD in October and so that’s some good news.
The other movies with rescheduled release dates include Monsters Inc. 2 moving from 16th November 2012 to 2nd November 2012 Prom which is now set for 29th April 2011 release and DreamWorks’ so called The Guardians movie is moving from 21st November 2012 to 2nd November 2012.
It guess all this delay is due to the high costs that come along with converting to 3D and it is said to be approximately around $15 million per movie.
