Michael Bay on Alien movie project

In the recent past there have been a whole heap of movies with have either been released on in production phase most of which were based on vampires, zombies, ghosts etc in movies like Twilight Saga: Eclipse, Let Me In, Resident Evil 4, Survival of the Dead, Thirty Days of Night, Mirror and the list could go on.

Now the most wanted change is about to occur with Transformers director Michael Bay coming in to the scene with the re-introduction of Aliens. Michael Bay along with his Platinum Dunes partners Brad Fuller and Andrew Formis is said to produce a rather low budget ($12 million) horror flick Cloverfield meets Paranormal Activity relating to either alien abductions or invasions.

Attached to the Cloverfield meets Paranormal Activity project also referred to as the ‘Confidential Alien Project’ is director Bobby Glickert. However the plot has been kept heavily under wraps but with Michael Bay involved it is predicted to have special effects explosions and much more of the action-revealing sort of movie.

Furthermore Michael Bay directing Transformers 3 is now underway in Chicago aiming at a 2011 deadline. Keeping that in mind wonder how involved Bay would be in this alien project.
