Machete Movie Released New Photos

A number of new photos from upcoming action / crime/ thriller Machete (2010) has been released. The movie is supposed to be an expansion of a fake trailer directed by Rodriguez for the movie, Grindhouse (2007). Machete is directed by Robert Rodriguez and Ethan Maniquis and would star Danny Trejo in his first lead role as the title character with co-stars Michelle Rodriguez, Cheech Marin, Lindsay Lohan, Don Johnson, Jessica Alba, Steven Seagal, Robert DeNiro, Jeff Fahey, and Cheryl Chin. It is planned for release with the USA on 3rd September 2010.

The story revolves around Federale “Machete” who is a highly skilled renegade who, after a shakedown from drug lord Torrez (Steven Seagal) is hired by spin doctor Benz (Jeff Fahey) to assassinate the corrupt senator McLaughlin (Robert De Niro). This turns out to be a set up. Now, while on the run, Machete is highly motivated to take revenge with the assistance of Luz (Michelle Rodriguez), a saucy taco slinger, Padre (Cheech Marin) a priest who has taken a vow of nonviolence, and April (Lindsay Lohan) a gun-wielding socialite. All while being tracked by seducing Sartana (Jessica Alba).
