With all the talk about Barack Obama‘s oath of office and the flub caused by Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr, the two decided to re-do the oath.

Some skeptics doubted Obama’s presidential status due to the mixing up of the words during his oath. Regardless of the mixup, Barack has been and continues to be President since Noon on Tuesday.

But, yesterday, Wednesday, the Obama and Chief Justice Roberts met up in the Map Room of the White House in front of a handful of people to re-do the oath again.

Roberts said “Are you ready to take the oath?”

To which Obama joked, “I am. And we’re going to do it very slowly.”

White House counsel Gregory Craig says he believes the oath was “administered effectively and that the president was sworn in appropriately,” though out of caution they decided to do it again on Wednesday.

He added, “The oath appears in the Constitution itself. And out of an abundance of caution, because there was one word out of sequence, Chief Justice Roberts administered the oath a second time.”

Congrats, Mr. President!

Wait. Re-do.

CONGRATS, Mr. PRESIDENT!!!!
