Matthew Surfs His Life and Loved Ones Over to Austin

Filed in: celebrity by admin on 09-04-08

Matthew McConaughey celebrated the premiere of Surfer, Dude at an afterparty benefiting the Austin Film Society in Texas last night. At the screening Woody Harrelson joked that making the movie was the most “non-working work” he’s ever done, which sounds pretty accurate judging by the silly trailer and all the shots of them filming last Summer. Matthew described the movie as “homegrown” and about “how you surf life,” revealing he made it with all of his friends he met while attending the University of Texas. Just one more way that Matthew shows love for his alma mater, which he’s already passing down to Levi through football games and even doing some hilarious voiceover work for a Baby Longhorns DVD.
