The numbers are in and Zac Efron and crew were able to propel Disney’s High School Musical 3 to the US box office top spot for the second week in a row. HSM3 drummed up $13.5 million in ticket sales.

Coming in at #2 spot was Saw V . The gory flick made $9.5 million this Halloween weekend.

Rounding out the top three is Santa Angelina’s pic, Changeling. It made almost $9.5 million this weekend and drew in bigger bucks than what the studio expected.

New comer Zack and Miri Make a Porno debuted to the tune of $9.3 million.

Interesting note, the total US box office was down 35% from last year.

Looks like Halloween parties and trick-or-treating kept lots of y’all out of the theaters!

However the biggest movie biz news from the weekend happened in the UK.

The new James Bond film, Quantum of Solace made made UK box office history!

The action packed film made £4.94 million ($7.9 million) on its opening day, Friday, which made it the biggest Friday opening of all time.

It broke the previous record held by Harry Potter And The Goblet of Fire, which took £4.025 million ($6.46 million).

Nice!
